Flauta Aurea

Rezultati natjecanja / Competition results:

International Flute Competition Flauta Aurea was founded by the Croatian Flute Association in Zagreb, in 2005, with the aim to encourage and affirm young artists. Because of that, every two years young flutists from different countries have the opportunity to meet with their colleagues, introduce themselves to the international commission and wider audience, hear performances of other competitors and guests, and to gain their own valuable concert experience. In addition to the competitive part, every edition of Flauta Aurea offers wide range of additional activities such as seminars, workshops, lectures, exhibitions and sales of instruments, sheet music and musical accessories, concerts, promotions, presentations and, of course, friendly gatherings. The contestants, as well as all of the additional events, gained recognition among musicians and have great response among the audience. From the very beginning, the competition has been under the patronage of President of Croatia and is an event of high cultural significance for the entire country. Over the years, more than four hundred competitors have participated in the competition, and some of them, such as Riria Niimura (Japan), Eva Nina Komus (Slovenia) and Cameron Stewart Massey (Great Britain), become world-renowned flutists. Members of the jury are always one of the most eminent international artists and educators, and contestants can be rewarded in the form of cash prizes, expensive instruments or precious works of art. Many friendships were born here, and among participants Flauta Aurea is remembered as a competition with the soul. And that is probably why many flutists are always very happy to come to Zagreb.

This year’s edition of the competition is divided into three categories:

  • Aurea Butterflies (up to 10 years)
  • Aurea Jeunesse
    • competitors up to 13 years
    • competitors up to 16 years of age
    • competitors up to 19 years of age
  • Aurea Pro (up to 30 years) in two stages

Uz natjecateljski dio, svako izdanje Flaute Aureae popraćeno je i bogatim dodatnim sadržajima poput raznovrsnih seminara, radionica, predavanja, prodajnih izložbi instrumenata, notnog materijala i asesoara, koncerata, promocija, prezentacija i, naravno, prijateljskog druženja.

  • Aurea Leptirići (do 10 godina)
  • Aurea Jeunesse
    • natjecatelji do 13 godina
    • natjecatelji do 16 godina
    • natjecatelji do 19 godina
  • Aurea Pro (do 30 godina) u dvije etape
