International Flute Competition Flauta Aurea was founded by the Croatian Flute Association in Zagreb, in 2005, with the aim to encourage and affirm young artists. Because of that, every two years young flutists from different countries have the opportunity to meet with their colleagues, introduce themselves to the international commission and wider audience, hear performances of other competitors and guests, and to gain their own valuable concert experience.
